Association of Professional Information Technologists

The Association of Professional Information Technologists is a non-profit organization founded by industry professionals to manage and govern the process of certification and accreditation of Natural Process Certified™ information technology professionals.

Our mission is to ensure that our practitioners provide the highest level of service and quality to their customers. By establishing the most rigorous standards of practice knowledge and conduct requirements in the industry, we can assure that our practitioners will provide the most comprehensive and successful solutions.

The Association is a self-governing industry body, comprised of a governance board including industry professionals and business leaders. It administers the PIT exam and manages the process of certifying qualified individuals.

PIT Certification™ Requirements

  • The Practitioner must meet the minimum experience and education requirements established by this association
  • The Practitioner must attend a Natural Process Introduction Workshop through a Natural Process Certified provider
  • The Practitioner must choose to specialize in one of four professional practice areas from the Natural Process Advanced Practice Area (APA) model
  • The Practitioner must complete a comprehensive Natural Process Certified™ training regimine from an authorized provider in accordance with the requirements of the chosen practice area
  • The Practitioner must successfully pass the PIT exam within six months of training
  • The Practitioner must show a demonstrated ability to implement information systems in accordance with the Natural Process Advanced Life Cycle (ALC) model through apprenticeship
  • The Practitioner must provide five professional references (a minimum of one must be a PIT Certified professional)

In addition to recognition as a senior professional and formal recognition as a PIT Certified Professional within a specified practice area, the following benefits apply:
